At Georgetown Auto Care Center, we offer a full range of professional auto repair and maintenance services to keep your vehicle safe, reliable, and running smoothly.

Oil Changes Regular oil changes are one of the simplest and most important ways to protect your engine and extend the life of your vehicle. We use high-quality oil and filters matched to your manufacturer’s specifications.

Brakes Your brakes are critical for safety. From routine pad and rotor replacements to emergency brake repairs, we inspect, diagnose, and repair your braking system so you can drive with confidence.

Steering & Suspension Work

  • Klunks, creaks, squeaks — oh my! We diagnose and repair steering and suspension issues to restore smooth handling and ride comfort.

Vehicle Inspections We perform thorough inspections to give you peace of mind and catch problems early.

  • Pre-purchase / New Vehicle Inspection

  • Diagnosis

  • Check Engine Light Diagnosis

We know how stressful that light can be. Here’s what it usually means:

    • Check Engine Light on, but the vehicle still drives okay — This is usually nothing urgent, but it’s still a smart idea to have it checked soon.
    • Check Engine Light on and the vehicle drives differently — This is more concerning. Bring it in as soon as possible.
    • Check Engine Light flashing — Stop worrying and take action. A flashing light typically signals a serious issue (often with rough running). Safely pull over and have the vehicle towed to us.
  • Pre-trip Inspection Heading out on vacation or your winter trip down to Florida? Many customers bring their vehicle in for a thorough pre-trip inspection so both you and your car are ready for the road.

Heating & A/C Whether you need heat in the winter or cool air in the summer, we’ll get your vehicle’s climate control working properly again.

We service both newer and older vehicles. Our equipment can evacuate and recover R-134a (the most common refrigerant) as well as the newer 1234yf refrigerant.

A/C System Repair Process An A/C system is a closed system — the refrigerant doesn’t just “disappear.” It only needs attention when there’s an actual problem.

Here’s what an A/C service typically includes:

  • We evacuate and recover the existing refrigerant using our machine and measure exactly how much (if any) is left.
  • The machine then runs a series of pressure and vacuum tests to help diagnose leaks or faulty components.
  • If the system passes the tests, we recharge it with the correct amount of refrigerant plus leak detection dye.
  • We run the system and check for any visible leaks.

Why do we add leak detection dye? A/C refrigerant is a clear gas. Without dye, leaks are nearly impossible to see — that’s why you usually don’t notice a problem until the A/C stops blowing cold.

What if the system fails the pressure/vacuum tests? This usually indicates a significant leak or a failed component that will need repair.

At every visit (including oil changes), we carefully inspect your vehicle and let you know about any upcoming issues. This helps you plan ahead instead of facing surprise repairs.

Fleet Maintenance We partner with local businesses to keep their vehicles safe and reliable for their teams.

  • DOT Inspections
  • Customized maintenance plans (oil changes and other preventative services)
